Z on Sep 09, 2015Spray paint will work great on glass. Though they have kinds for various surfaces, any canned spray paint will sticks to most dry surfaces, including glass.Helpful Reply

Z on Sep 09, 2015Janet, most of them will list glass as one "For Use On" or "Where to use" on the backs of the cans. Here's some examples in the two brands I prefer to use. Some of the many Krylon brand spray paints that work on glass. http://www.krylon.com/products/colormaster-paint-primer/ http://www.krylon.com/products/covermaxx-brushed-metallic/ Not that I think Sherry would want this for a cake stand, but this also sticks to glass. http://www.krylon.com/products/fine-stone-textured-finish/ Fusion, which is made for plastic also lists glass. http://www.krylon.com/products/fusion-for-plastic/ If she wants a frosted finish, there's also. http://www.krylon.com/products/frosted-glass-finish/ Even spray on glitter, though you have to add their glitter sealer on top. http://www.krylon.com/products/glitter-blast/ You can even use their glow spray paint on glass. http://www.krylon.com/products/glowz/ @Sherry Glass here's a link to all of Krylon spray paints if you didn't find one above you like. http://www.krylon.com/products/?N=159827624&paging=false Here's Valspar's Permium Spray paint link. The first shows available colors and the second (if you scroll to the bottom) you'll see where it lists glass. http://www.valsparpaint.com/en/find-the-right-product/interior/premium-enamel-spray-paint.html http://www.valsparpaint.com/en/find-the-right-product/interior/paint/premium-spray-paint.htmlHelpful Reply

Z on Sep 09, 2015I should add that since you'll be using it for food, please make sure you put a cake paper between the cake and the spray painted tray. It would be best if you leave the top, where the cake sits, unpainted.Helpful Reply

Adrian on Sep 10, 2015Like Becky said, the paint won't matter as much since you'll need to use cake paper, wax paper, or the cardboard round disks that cakes sit on. The cardboard disks can be found in any store that carries Wilton baking items like Michaels or Hobby Lobby.Helpful Reply

Andrea Robert on Sep 10, 2015When I have painted on glass intended for food use, I've used Pebeo glass paints, which need to dry and then be heated in the oven to set properly before using with food....and even then, I used the paints on the underside of the clear glass, as a precaution.Helpful Reply

Brytiz on Sep 10, 2015Use ceramic paint mixed with Elmers Glue that dries clear. Paint with a craft brush and then spray to seal unless you want to change the colors at a latter time.Helpful Reply
