How to flatten paper creases

I have a map I would like to frame but the fold creases won't go flatten. How can I flatten the creases?

    Try to carefully fold the map in the opposite direction in which it currently folds.

    Unfold the map on a flat surface, cover it with a towel, use an iron on cotton setting and iron the crease out turning it over to get both sides.

    have it laminated or put wide tape on the back of the map

    I agree with the ironing......mist minimally with water just on the creases, make it damp......not wet.

    The iron trick should work .Just make sure the setting is not to hot.

    With your iron or a spray bottle...mist over a thin cotton cloth placed over the map, then iron on top of the cloth so the steam from the cloth will press the creases out.

    Take the map opener put this in a flat please cover whit a piece of cloth and iron this in the steam circle this help to take the creast

    With little hope, I took a crinkled with one tear poster to a professional framer. I was astonished when I picked it up. The tear did not show, the poster looked brand new. As a special gift for my man, the $50 was totally worth it.

    if the map isn't to big lightly wet the map and place it in between two sheets of glass (bigger than the map ) and weight it leave for a couple of hours or over night.
