Photo backdrop from new cardboard package cushioning

I want to make a wedding backdrop using the little triangles (have some holes) that are now arriving in packages (to replace the environmental hazardous Styrofoam). I guess gold spray paint is the only way and since I cannot ruin the walls etc. at the venue, I would like it free-standing...

thanks, Janet. Lots of beautiful ideas. I need this for a photo booth, not as a backdrop for the couple, and it has to be freestanding because I cannot put anything on the walls. Any ideas for freestanding? I'm not like the typical person on this site...I am not really handy!

@recycler They also had several ideas on the photo booth as well. Check them out they were amazing. I too am planning a wedding for my daughter. When I first read your question I did not realize it was for a photo booth my apologies.

Use pvc pipe from the plumbing department of the local Home Depot. They can show you how to build the free standing frame. Cover the outside with inexpensive material or sheets and decorate as you like.

maybe if you make it like a tri fold (consertina)you could just stand it in front. If the cardboard is strong get something like a block of wood and cut a slot in the centre to act as feet?
