Plants for an office with no window

Question

I am looking for plants to use in mini gardens for a cubicle area in our office...Any ideas?

or buy potted grocery store hyacinths, or florist lilies by the stem - they will open and bloom beautifully for you for at least a week and they make everyone smile. Lynda

Actually some craft shops like Michael's carry artificial terrarium plants that look real but require zero work other than dusting them. Or if you care to have live blooms, alstroemerias are a long lasting cut flower beautiful for an office vase. They'll last at least two weeks and don't need light.

Succulents are both pretty and - very - low maintenance. They are usually soft, interesting to look at and provide color.
They require very little room.

Snake plant, aka Mother in Laws Tongue,  New, Pothos, any of them, Rubber Tree, the list is too long. They filter the air, which is needed.

I have had indoor plants for 40 years and all plants need some sort of light- so with that- is there a way you can add a light just for the plants where they are going to be? There are LED grow lights that you could have on during work hours and turn off when you leave. Or if the lighting in the office stays on 24/7 the plants may not thrive either because just like humans, plants need rest. I agree that snake plant could do well under the office lighting and even trailing philodendrons. You could even try a Peace lily but you will never get blooms. Plants are living things and they do need some sort of sun/artificial light to be alive

Here is a list of some:
