Repurposing small decorative tiles

We recently had our bathroom remodeled and have quite a bit of subway tile and small decorative tiles left over. The small tiles easily come off the mesh backing. I'm hoping to find a clever project to use them on. Any suggestions?

buy a 6x6" tile at Home Depot and glue these tiles onto the back (unglazed side) and make a mosaic trivet. You will need to grout the trivet after letting the glue dry for 24 hours. Makes a great gift!

Mid Century Tile Top Tables are kind of popular right now...and are kind of timeless to me! http://pickedvintage.com/2012/08/13/mid-century-modern-tiled-coffee-table/ I think those tiles in your photo would be great for project like this. I wish I thought of that ... when we used similar tiles for a kitchen re-model (actual tear down completely). But I did sell them at a yard sale because I knew someone would make use of them!

A good opertunity to learn a new craft...fused glass. Or glue picture behind transparent ones and plastic magnets to back for frig magnets. Decorate with a sharpie and bake to make design permanent. Attach a wire to corner and a bit of chain or wirefor wine glass identifiers. Form in a ring for napkin rings. Make a garden gazing ball with bowling ball. Your options are endless. Forgot to mention a wind chime or decorate a metal or plastic bathroom set (soap dish, tissue box cover, waste paper can and toothbrush holder). Decorate window box or basket for towels in the bathroom. I can think of a thousand more. Check Pinterest mosaic and tile pins

How about stepping stones for the garden. Attach tile to plain concrete stepping stones and grout as mentioned above.

Line a tray, make drink coasters, or cooking pot trivets or plant trivets, or break them and make mosaics

I take it the ones shown are glass tiles. Try gluing them (with clear drying glue) to a square glass vase. Then use as a votive.
