The slats in the crib are round like long poles. I thought about making crosses but not sure how. Any ideas for my adult autism craft class is appreciated. thanks

They would make great ribbon trees if you have a lot of ribbon in your stash.(let me know if you need pictures, I currently have two different kinds of ribbon trees). I'm also looking for a side rail from a crib, preferably in maple if you have one, they make great head boards.

@Judy not sure what a ribbon tree is but it sounds great. The crib rails I have are painted white

If you do a search on Pinterest for spindle crafts there are lots of cute ideas for crosses, wind chimes and some cute garden accessories as well for your craft class to paint and work on together.

I made this little bench from a vintage crib end, vintage chair and an old Split Pea burlap bag!

How about cutting them and tying together with sisal or twine into a square or rectangle frame.

Nice idea Tara! Or possibly take a bunch of twine, colored embroidery thread or ribbon..etc. and make walking sticks if they are long enough.
