Get 2 twin XL, you could either cut and sew together, or leave as is, no one will see the middle of it anyways.
Vermont Country Store carries adjustable dust ruffles that have elastic all around. The queen/king is $29.95. It's just the ruffle with nothing under the mattress so it's easier to put on and take off.
I've done several king size bed skirts for myself and friends. Measure the sides and the foot of the bed. Add 6" overlap on all 3 pieces. Fold 1/2" on each of the
6 ends and sew or iron-on tape. Also hem or iron-on tape for the bottom of the fabric. Now, using quilting pins (I like them because
they are longer, studier and have a larger head on them), pin the two side pieces
to the box spring to make sure the fabric hangs straight and is the desired length.
Next, pin the shorter, foot of the bed fabric to the box spring and overlap on the
two side pieces. Now, using a curved upholstery needle and upholstery thread,
sew the fabric to the box springs. Believe it or not, this only takes about 1/2 hour
I buy my fabric on sale and I always have a custom, perfectly fitted bedskirt
that does not slip or move.
Find some pretty fabric, measure and cut/sew to the desired length and then use Velcro to attach. No need to put it under the mattress and it won't ever move unless you want it too.
measure bed then add half to that for pleats or ruffles measure how long you want to floor add two inches for hems hem iron if you are putting it uner mattress you need to measure a cut a piece of material to that too too sew it to if doing an elastic skirt measure the elastic to bed may have to hook more than one together stretch slightly cut sew ends of elastic together as well as your skirt fabric fold fabric and elastic in half find all four points pin elastic to fabric the divide sections and pin repeat till all pinned together then sew up on both side of elastic and add to bed
