If you have access to a bench grinder: White compound on a new cotton buff.
You can use pa fine grit of steel wool to polish the bone such as 00 or 000.

It's used for polishing metals usually in jewelry making. It has a bit of wax and grit in it to polish the surface of the bone. https://www.gesswein.com/c-217-compounds.aspx
You might find that the steel wool works fine. Please wear a dust mask when you work with bone.
