Add double rods so you can have double hanging space. Add a narrow shelving unit. Here are some ideas for you: https://www.pinterest.com/explore/small-closet-organization
Eno Hi, Start with one small rod to hang long items. You can have the bar hang from the ceiling with chain and screws. Next, make two bars one one top of the other, leaving room in between each bar. Hang tops on one bar, and pants on the other. If you have a top shelf put hand bags on that. In the bottom, put your shoes. Aloha!
My favorite thing is closet organizers. I buy the basic kits that fit the closet because they give me the foundation for hanging if needed but most importantly, shelves! It also doesn't require a saw so I can do it myself.
You will find several styles on the market so get what you like that fits you needs. Install it per the instructions.
Now the fun begins! Like any organization project knowing what you like to use a space for is key. A basic bedroom closet will have have hanging and she of storage. Your kit will have these, arrange them to meet your needs. For the shelves you can divide them into smaller areas with storage boxes. I put an old bathtowel on a wire shelf with my folded sweaters to keep from picking up the pattern. Don't waste your money on shoe shelves. They take up space and only hold 3 or 4 pair of shoes, and they slide off. Use some thing else for shoes, like attaching a multiple pockets to the inside back of the door.
Belts and scarves can hang on a side wall. Once you get into the area of the store with storage and space savers think outside the box. Can a skirt hanger help with all your scarves? That muti-pocket shoe bag will work great for scarves, belts, socks, bar's, even rolled t-shirt if needed.
Not knowing the size is difficult. Personally, I’d make myself a fresh pot and sit down and Google and Pinterest “organizing small closet”.
Possibilities, and ideas, are endless, but only you know what your priorities are, be they hanging space, folded space or shoe organization.
The beauty of viewing ideas is knowing you can use inexpensive plumbing and hardware department supplies, and dollar store baskets to make it your own.
Hello,
Downsizing several times Ive learned to maximize all available storage options. Im also cursed with the lack of storage closets too.
In the kitchen maximize cupboard storage utilizing various storage bins baskets and elevating wire racks in all cabinets above and below countertops. You might consider using the backside of the cabinet door too. Purge the things you dont need or store other things that you don’t use often in another area of the house....like under the bed, garage or basement closet. Put you beds on risers and use low profile totes and spacebags under the beds. Switch out summer and winter wardrobes. Some people use storage Ottomans or trunks as coffetables to hide extra items as well. Lastly the beds with drawers below the mattress are options too.
