Hello Suzanne; I currently am using two trellis. One is a heavy duty plastic trellis, and the other is a wooden one.

I believe that the plastic one will hold up better due to the sun and heat that we have!!!

You can easily locate either at Ace Hardware, or Home Depot!!!

I hope that this helps you!!! Take Care!

Cedar, for several reasons. It's relatively inexpensive, stands up well to moisture, (humidity and rain, not standing water) and is toxic to insects.

Bamboo would be readily available and easy to tie together to make a trellis as large or small as you want. Bamboo should last also and is easy to replace and sustainable.
