Kitchen cabinet kickboards

We have painted kitchen cabinets. Should the kickboards be the same color as the cabinets or the same color as the rooms baseboards?

I am not sure what they should be but if you have dark floors I would paint them dark, the blackboard gets a lot of scuffs etc.

Most of the time the kick boards are the same color/woodgrain as the cabinets. I also have seen them painted black to hide scuffs as Debbie states.

paint them the same color and use a paint with a washable finish

I would match the cabinets as not to make them standout .

My daughter repainted her kitchen and use a lite brown and black( I know, it sounded depressing to me too) but she painted cabinets brown and kickboards black. It was so pretty; not dark or depressing. Just a different option.

Its a very personal choice, but they are usually the same colour as the cabinet door.
