Can I paint a peel and stick tile floor?
-
CK on Oct 23, 2015Yes. Peel and stick tiles are vinyl. I've painted sheet vinyl and it works very well. I believe your results will be fine too. Here's what to do: 1. Super clean the floor with TSP. Rinse well. Let dry. (The TSP will also take away any shine so the primer & paint adhere better.) 2. Prime one or two coats. Oil primer will last longer but latex primer will work too. 3. Paint the floor the color of your choice. Best to use porch and floor paint but I have also used just regular latex wall paint in satin. Best of luck :-)1 marked as helpful Reply
