Why not just use appropriate paint like a good exterior enamel or a marine semi-gloss.Helpful Reply -

Yes, but be prepared to renew the wax often. Wax cannot stand up to direct sunlight.Helpful Reply -

I would not recommend it. I would recommend PPG/Porter Paints, Advantage 900 in a semi gloss sheen. No sealer needed.Helpful Reply -

Chalk paint is not good for outdoors, I think even the cans state that.Helpful Reply -

You also don't say if your door is wood or metal. But either can be painted with a good exterior paint. Son-in-law painted his metal front door to look like an expensive wooden door. It looks awesome.Helpful Reply -

Thanks everyone for the answers. The door is wood and I'll get my outdoor paint and have at it this weekend! Now to pick a color. It is a hideous brown and the house is white.. I want a pop of color possibly blue??? Ideas? and I really just don't want red.Helpful Reply -
