I wouldn't. You will be "touching up" continually. I would pressure wash, then re-stain with ONE TIME STAIN from www.onetimewood.com. This is the BEST deck stain on the market and will last for years. In fact, I've had mine for 8 years now, and it still looks great.Helpful Reply -

we did this last fall. If it is well prepped first it will turn out beautifully. we followed the site below. Ours went from a faded ugly brown to a gorgeous teal green!!
