Lacquer! Use a foam roller and foam brush to get a smooth finish. I prefer using several fine coats of spray lacquer.
Tom albanes, yes you can . Especially good over enamel paint.
Tom albanese. No sanding required with lacquer. Stays on top and creates a solid sealed surface. Polyurethanes, Krylon, Rustoleum need to be lightly sanded in between coats to bond to previous coats. Generally metallic paint is wet sanded to smooth it out before a clear coat is applied. Similar to painting cars.
