How can l degloss walls that are to shiny?

Used semi gloss Behr paint on plaster walls..shows every flaw.

    I don't know any methods to degloss paint, but I do know if you use a light color it hardly shows defects. Also, you could use joint compound to fix any imperfections. After using the joint compound, sand, prime and re-paint. (I have noticed that priming after using the joint compoud really makes a difference with the finish.

    go to Lowes or Home Depot in the area where they have chalk paint. The clear matte wax deglosses to me Even though it says wax it's more like polyacrylic. Test a small area first to se if it has the look that you want

    Did you prime the walls before painting? If you did not that is the problem and not the paint.

    Semi gloss does just that, shows everything so going to a flater paint will soften the finish and cover well with one coat.

    There are top coats for chalk paint to make it more durable. I wonder if there is a matte option? I would look for that or buy a gallon of eggshell in the same color and give it one more coat.

      Def going to look into the chalk top coat...that would prob dull it down some. Thanks for all the suggestions..don't feel so all alone trying to brainstorm when theres a problem ...
