How can l degloss walls that are to shiny?
Raven Farmer on Jun 14, 2017I don't know any methods to degloss paint, but I do know if you use a light color it hardly shows defects. Also, you could use joint compound to fix any imperfections. After using the joint compound, sand, prime and re-paint. (I have noticed that priming after using the joint compoud really makes a difference with the finish.Helpful Reply
Ronda Johnson on Jun 14, 2017go to Lowes or Home Depot in the area where they have chalk paint. The clear matte wax deglosses to me Even though it says wax it's more like polyacrylic. Test a small area first to se if it has the look that you wantHelpful Reply
William on Jun 14, 2017Did you prime the walls before painting? If you did not that is the problem and not the paint.Helpful Reply

Tonia on Jun 16, 2017There are top coats for chalk paint to make it more durable. I wonder if there is a matte option? I would look for that or buy a gallon of eggshell in the same color and give it one more coat.Helpful Reply
