Try using a paint stripper. Leave it on long enough to aid in the removal of the paint. Depending how much is there you may have to use a scrub brush.

What kind of paint? If it's latex, let it dry and scrape it right up. If it's alkyd, you are in trouble. It might come up with a pressure washing, before it cures. Anything solvent will just get it deeper into the pores.

If it is latex, simply apply alcohol, let it sit a few minutes, then rinse. I use the 90% alcohol from pharmacy, but think I have seen it in WalMart. Scrub with a brush if it needs a bit of extra help. Wish you well.

It's a driveway right? Cement driveways are very rough - purposefully. The paint seeps down into the cracks and cranies. natural weathering will remove some but a pressure washer is your best bet.
