Tiles do not need to be sanded just like plates. Just paint the tiles like painting plates. Seal them with a water based polyurethane. Three coats should be fine. Each coat dries in about an hour or two. Does not yellow like oil based. You can also look for tile decals if you don't want to paint but keep a certain theme
Hi Thea, here is a video that shows you how to get paint to stick to porcelain tiles. I am pretty sure you will have to sand or at least lightly sand to remove the gloss. Hope this helps you with your project. Sorry I don't have instructions for painting without sanding. ow do you get paint to stick to ceramic tile?
