Try rubbing a dab of goof off.

Goo Gone or Goof Off. Dab some on the paint with a clean cloth. Let it sit to soften the paint. Use a credit card and gently scrape the paint off. Wipe off any residue with the same cloth. Use water and a few squirts of dish washing liquid to wash off the remover.

I saw this on Pinterest and gave it a try. If the paint your husband used was water-based, just wipe spots of paint with rubbing alcohol. I was amazed at how fast it removed some old paint spots I had not seen on my bathroom floor after I finished painting the cabinets. The spots of paint had dried completely but came up completely in seconds. My only concern would be the finish on your woodwork. You might try this on a "hidden" spot before using on the cabinets.

Murphy's Oil Soap will help clean off the paint.

Try some Krud Cutter on a damp rag. Use a soft toothbrush to get in the grooves.

my advice might sound silly but my father used to do this a lot... do you have those mosquito aerosol in the house? spray a bit on stain... rub it with a rag... repeat until you get the stain off... give it a try... cheers
