How do you remove dried spackle from wood without removing finish?

We just had our bathroom remodeled and the contractor splattered spackle on our mahogany colored vanity. It dried on and I'd like to know how to remove it without hurting the finish of the wood. Any ideas?

I would try rubbing some coconut oil on it -

Usually spackle is water based and can be removed with water and gentle rubbing. If it has gone into the grain use and infant toothbrush to get in the grain of the wood.- See 1 previous
