You can on epoxy garage floors. Call the paint manufactor and ask them. Our garage floor is sealed. Also love your floor!

Hope someone can give you the answer for shine because your floor looks great. I might try painting instead of replacing as can get very expensive. Never even thought of paint as afraid it would chip easily.

I painted our kitchen and bathroom vinyl floor in our former home. Lasted for years. However when it did look like it needed a facelift, it was easily painted over again :-) If I wanted it to shine I used an acrylic floor wax. You could remove that if necessry too, just by washing with ammonia/water. LOVE painted old vinyl floors :-)

You can coat most epoxy paints with acrylic wax, but I would get with the supplier where you got it just to be sure. Also the manufacturer should have a website where you could get the info you need..

@Kitty Webb I'm sorry, I misunderstood, I thought you had painted it with an epoxy, I didn't realize you were referring to the topcoat, or sealer.. A poly coating would work great for what you needed..

Congratulations! You're a nervy gal. I have had ugly, UGLY, wooden floors for years and have thought of painting them, but just couldn't get up the nerve. Good for you! Post a pic after the shine.

Is that just a regular linoleum rug? I been wanting to try painting my kitchen linoleum floor but I'm so afraid I'll mess it up. Do you seal the floor after painting? What's the best way to paint & seal it? My kitchen floor get more traffic than any other part of my home.
