Repaint cement deck

former owner painted the deck with (house paint) that is peeling and coming away from the deck but not to fast. What is the best way to remove this paint. No base coat was used but still comes off hard.

Try a citrus paint remover. Brush it on with a big brush, let sit, then use a pressure washer. Ask at a real paint store, what type of product could be used to seal the concrete afterwards. -

Citrus based paint remover.If you want to repaint and If the deck boards are in good condition and not cupped you could try an oscillating flooring sander. You won't need to remove all of the paint, just what comes off easily. -

Sounds like you may be able to get it it off with a good power washer. You can rent them in most towns for not much money. -

I agree with the power washer. Easiest and fastest way to cover a large area.
