Is it possible to stencil on a glass patio table? My glass is very thick and if I rough it up with sand paper will that work?

Faux Stained Glass: Pond in a Table
What about stenciling the bottom of the glass? This way you won’t have to scratch up the table top.
Hi Greta,
What you do is stencil the underside of the glass top, that way it is protected from the weather.

This was more of engraving not stenciling. Know someone that put a image using a dremel on their car windows. They did a small but personalized piece of art by outlining their subject (a Dahlia blossom), It was simply but very beautiful.
No need to sand the glass. I agree with painting the underside to protect the paint job if the pattern and stencil allows.
Thank you William.
