What color to paint exterior doors on Log Cabin?

Currently painted dark, hunter green. Want something lighter, brighter, but still "natural, earth tone". Looking for ideas ;) Side door is recessed by about 3 feet, so from a distance, it just looks DARK & GLOOMY, can't even really see the door, just a dark "space".
What about gray?

I like Benjamin Moore Wythe Blue and Sherwin Williams Hazel but does anyone have something in that family that would perhaps be better
In my opinion gray would work. then it would go with your roof color. After all in nature gray is in so many items like rocks and trees. I'm jealous because I have always wanted to live in a log cabin, they have so much character.
and there is always terra cotta in a light shade, get little sample pots and try the different colors on the doors, hope this helps xx
Barbara, I was thinking of "orange" when terra cotta was mentioned. I would definitely go with a bold color.
If you pick something like yellow or green, you can highlight it with putting come color accents along the porch and beside the side door.
Post photos!!!
First go to home improvement store and take many sample paint chips home. Only tape one at a time to the house and select what you like best. The reason to only do one at a time, is not to confuse you’re eyes. Good luck, Barb
Orange, for sure
Barbara here is a palette of cabin colors. Check it to see what you like best.

I'd go with Forest or a Sage Green , and add shutters, and paint the rockers the same shade as the door ..
Barbara please let us know what color you choose and good luck!
Stay with the green and paint your window trim to match, add matching rockers and it will be a makeover and pop!
