Put in some color. Coordinate with the brick. Some brick is redish, some is brownish. Take a photo of the brick on your phone and take it with you to the paint store.

Pick out a few of samples swatches of what you think best matches your brick...then pick some colors that look good with that color.

With a redish brick, you might want to use a seafoam. Or a moss green (very muddy looking green).

With a grayish brick, you will want something warmer like a light yellow (nothing near lemon yellow). Try a peachish color.

Once you have taken the sample swatches home and think you have the right color, buy the color you like and a set of paper that you paint to use as samples and tape it up against the brick...then set back and look at it for a while.

Any color that coordinates with the rest of your room. If you are undecided, look in your closet and you will see a few colors that seem to stand out. Those are the colors you are most comfortable living with and you can use one of them as an accent wall.
