What is the best sealant for use on a painted bathroom sink?

What is the best sealant to use for a painted bathroom sink. Repainted my sink and vanity. The sealant I used on the sink turned yellow and is now peeling. I need to sand and redo but need to know what’s best to use. Thanks to all who will answer this.
