What is the best way to strip paint off of metal cabinets?

My kitchen cabinets are metal and have been painted 2X but I think they're ready to be stripped before being painted again.

Try using Citristrip which is a non toxic paint stripper that can be used on metal.

The Citristrip worked great on my banister. But you can also grind off painted metal services

I agree with using Citristrip. Trying to sand and smooth 2x coats of paint would be more work than stripping the paint. Of course, there will be some sanding after the paint is stripped off, but that would be just to smooth out any imperfections. Good Luck!

Citristrip with saran wrap on top - use a wet metal sanding paper after you wipe them down with rubbing alchol

Use Citristrip and wrap it in plastic wrap to keep it wet and working.
