Can I paint door hinges? And what kind of paint should I use?

Spray paint for metal and seal with spray lacquer. -

Krylon Spray Paint made for metals. Take them off and spray very lightly first coat..let dry... again spray lightly. Best not to try to coat with one spray. -

just to add to William's advice remove the hinges and mark them where they go (be sure to mark what is top hole to avoid confusion)
