You can but in my experience it has a tendency to not be very durable so unless you want a distressed look, I would use something else.

You can, but like Kathy said it wouldn't be the most durable. I would use a high quality paint like Benjamin Moore Advance or Sherwin Williams.
An acrylic latex paint in an enamel finish is your best bet for doors and trim! It is formulated for that use! Very durable and easy to wash! Much better than chalk paint!
As someone else noted: Sherwin WIlliams and Benjamin Moore are great brands. I can also add Behr to the list!
I agree completely with gk and Kathy. Wood trim usually has a high gloss or semi gloss finish which is more durable
