Frosting a glass door and how to do it

I need to know the easiest way to frost a glass door without globs of over spray and concentrated areas. I know of course to use a back and forth across surface, but it always seems to glop up. And how do you do a small area if it comes off/gets scratched?

look at gallery glass by Plaid. Apply it in a random swirl by pouncing your fingers.

I like the effect in the picture, but it's not 'frosted'

Instead of trying to paint it ,you can buy privacy film that look like frosted glass.

Save yourself all of that work and mess and permanency....buy ARTSCAPES window films. They have beautiful designs including frosted look and stained glass look. I have them all over my house on the bottom half of my windows.... GORGEOUS !!

By the way the Plaid product is not permanent on glass. I’ve had it on our office doors for 3 years now. See pict
