Instead of trying to paint it ,you can buy privacy film that look like frosted glass.Helpful Reply -

Save yourself all of that work and mess and permanency....buy ARTSCAPES window films. They have beautiful designs including frosted look and stained glass look. I have them all over my house on the bottom half of my windows.... GORGEOUS !!Helpful Reply -
