It looks like painting over floor tiles will not hold up well, especially if they are in a high traffic area. 😢. If you are stuck with the tile, why not try just painting the grout? The tile floors in the main part of my current house looked positively horrid when we bought it, and the grout was nasty nasty. I cleaned the grout as best I could and then bought a product called Grout Renew, which is a grout paint, at Home Depot. I applied it to the grout using a small paint rush and kept a damp rag nearby to wipe the excess off the tile. It totally changed the look of my floors and is holding up 2 1/2 years later. Good luck!
