I like enamel. It dries smooth (no brush marks) and is very hard. It is also hard to clean up, so most people use latex and are happy with it. Good prep work will make any paint job turn out nice.
Please do not use oil based paint ( difficult to clean bushes etc ) Use Acrylic based paints more choice plus water based easier to clean Works OK on wood or Metal ( after pre based paint )
