Not exactly sure the correct finish of my cupboards and cabinets but I think they are White washed. They have a pink hue. After 20 years, there is wear and tear and I would like to put some paint (?) touch up on, especially around the knobs. Can anyone help? Wood is not oak, maybe burch?

You will have to strip them first. Try using Citristrip which is a safe non-toxic paint remover. Then re-white wash them.

thank you so much for your reply. I have a very large kitchen and most cabinet doors are good. I was really hoping for an easier touch-up! 64 door/ drawer planels in kitchen alone. 9 more in bar area adjacent. Seems overwhelming! Second thoughts??

One step at a time....Honestly I think to try to touch them up will be more of a task then to do it right from the start when you are ready. My motto should you take the advice as my Dad always taught me (as he is resting in heaven)Do it the right way the first time around or do not bother.Good luck
