If you are writing in here - then you probably need a professional. Some jurisdictions require a permit.
I recently switched from a gas to an electric water heater in my mobile home. Electric water heaters require a dedicated 240 volt circuit. This is not a diy project and in virtually every jurisdiction requires a permit. Once the power is installed the heater can be put in by a very skilled diy-er. That said, I agree with Lisa S.--if you have to ask Hometalk, you are probably not experienced enough to tackle this project. I have years in pro remodeling and am willing and able to do many remodeling projects, but this one?--I hired an electrician and a plumber.
