Our bathroom sink is only two years old but it already has rust around

baking soda and vinegar paste. or barkeeps friend powder paste. let sit overnight. -

Could this be rust from water(sometimes well water), have you tried CLR? -

I have extremely hard well water, and everything it touches gets rusty. I squirt The Works on it, and it dissolves it immediately.
