How can I refurbish my Sears Kenmore gourmet edition stove?

I have a Sears Kenmore gourmet edition stove. Two questions. The oven door will not close completely. How can I fix this. Now, #2. The top of the stove is stainless steel and scratched up. How can I refinish the top. Please let me know if you can help.Thank you

Your door hinges may need replaced.
The scratches may not be able to be refinished to their original appearance, but you can try Bar Keeper's Friend or Bon Ami Cleanser cleanser (my first choice)applied to a soft cloth and rubbed on the surface, following the original grain of the stainless steel.
Bar Keeper's Friend is not meant to be left in contact with the surface for long periods of time, so apply to small areas, prior to proceeding.

Grove.co carries a product by Real Simple that cleans and protects. I think you can purchase it on Amazon, as well. It works great and makes the stainless steel look fresher
Dear D,. Most ovens have doors that you can pull up and off. This is made this way so repairman can get into the back of the stove need be. Try opening the oven door to the first stop. This should be about 10 degrees. Pull the door up slightly, then push it down until it reaches the bottom of the oven. This could be your problem, the oven door was not aligned. The scratches on the stainless steel, I think they have paint for this problem. Call Home Depot's paint department and ask. Aloha!
