How can you hang sheetrock when working alone?

I know there are devices available to assist with this, but if you live in a rural location these devices are unable. and renting is out of the question.

I bought mine because I knew that it would cost less than renting three times. In the past I had made what is referred to as a "deadman". A tee made of 2x4s about the same as ceiling height. Rested it against the wall and slid the end of the drywall on top. Put screws in the end of the drywall I was holding and worked my way toward the wall. Not great but it worked. You could also hire out the job.

If you cut the sheets in half they are much easier to handle
