How do I reattach a stair handrail that's pulled out of a plaster wall

The house has plaster walls throughout and the upstairs and basement rails are very loose and pulling away from the walls. I have small children and worry the rails will fail with them. Thanks

Sorry, but I think this is best handled by an expert handyman or carpenter. Talk to some professionals at HD or Loews and get estimates, but it should be done before one of this kidlets falls down the stairs.
