How do I repair cracks in my plastered walls?

I need to know what to use to fill cracks in my plaster walls & ceilings. In the past what I used usually ended up pulling away from the crack. Please help would like to fix this before I repaint.

Hi Peggy,

I agree with Michelle. We have a few cracks that keep coming back and over the years we've realized that our house is still settling a little. We patch with spackle, sand even, prime and repaint when they do appear. Here's another article that might help. Wishing you the best.
