I had the same problem due to settling of the building. What I ended up doing was to install wood paneling along the whole wall and if the crack is still there, it cannot be seen. In addition, the paneling gave the room a beautiful appearance.

Thanks. I was thinking of wallpaper but wasn't sure it would work.

Try some spackling and drywall tape. Couple coats of spackling with sanding in between after drying. Then repaint.

I have had pretty good luck with drywall tape and spackle too.

Good fixes! I suggest that you go outside & see if there are any cracks there; you will want to close those up also to keep water & insects out. IF THERE are signs of droppage due to loss of ground soil...you will need to have it re-leveled before you do anything else...patching will not help if you are losing ground support. ONCE LEVELED, the exterior should be patched with concrete or mortar mix, filling all accessible cracks, crevices. THEN, and only then go inside & patch the cracks & crevices [for the same reasons] & you can purchase 'corner trim' pieces in wood or vinyl to cover the corners.
