Charlene Hello, Unplug the lamp of course. Take the bulb out, take the center piece out where the bulb goes. Pull it up and it will expose the wires. Now they are connected to the wire that goes to the outlet. If you want to take it completely apart, cut the cord with scissors at the bottom. The wiring will come free.
