One way is to buy some ‘chalkboard paint’. Spray on a couple of coats and you have a brand new chalkboard. You can find this paint at home improvement centers such as Lowe’s, or Home Depot. It might even be available at Walmart.
Done this works well
I make my own chalk paint using Unsanded grout and water mix until dissolved then add black acrylic paint. I repaint my chalkboards occasionally to spruce them up.
