I have used it to make screens for sifting dirt and sand. You can also frame a piece and paint a scene on it. -

Always save some in case need to patch a window. Cut a piece to fit your kitchen sink works greatif you need to scale fish or peel vegetables. Put a piece of fabric around a piece and secure inside a picture frame and use to organize earrings. -

Craft clubs, fine arts colleges, community colleges intereste courses, and similar who offer paper making classes are always looking for mesh screens to make into the frames for hand made paper. Maybe you could post an ad in Kijiji or Craigslist under Free items, or under Art Supplies.
