How do I use pine cones to make a center piece?

Hi! When I lived in ME we used to pile them into a pretty bowl and stick a candle in the middle. You can also use a handled tray to do the same or a large hurricane style tall glass piece.

If your pinecones were harvested from ground fall, you must microwave or bake them to remove any insects, etc. Then spray paint is the cheapest and best way to transform them, BUT before the paint dries, dust them with glitter. I placed a long inexpensive mirror on my table, spread the pinecones, then intertwined tiny battery powered lights around them. The effect was magical!
