Ideas for reusing a old wood tv tray stand?

I salvaged a wood tv tray stand from my neighbors truck as it was headed for the dump. I saw it and said, Hhm...I can do something with that. Sorry no pictures but it's the basic holder for those 4 tv tray sets. I was thinking, add a shelf, some cool paint and ta-da....plant table. Any other ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

Add some trim to the top to make a "tray" before painting. It could be a plant stand as you suggested or you could add a glass or plexi top and make a side/end table. If it's flat you could put photos under the glass or if you've added the trim it could be used as a place for mementos.

If you're a crafter or like to sew, you could turn it into a small ironing table. My mom quilts, so I made her this so she can iron her quilt squares without having to get up from the table every time. http://likeasaturday.com/2013/03/26/diy-small-ironing-table/

You could put a framed out piece of corkboard on the inside and a shelf over one side where the arms stick out and turn it into a jewelry caddy. The shelf could could bracelets, the other two arms could hold necklaces. The corkboard could be covered with fabric or painted and it could hold broaches and earrings.

ok so you took a tv tray (table) and made it into a table. Nice. I painted mine in white and embellished with jewels and pretty decals and painted the recipient's name in the center. I added a basket to the bottom and filled it with a stuffed animal, coloring books and markers, etc. I gave it to a friends daughter for her 5th birthday. she loved it. It's still a little table but sort of her art center to go.
