Uses of a wood fireplace grate

We are installing a gas insert into our wood fireplace. Just wondering how I can repurpose the old fireplace grate. Any ideas?

Dig a fire pit or buy an outdoor fireplace. It wouldn't have to be expensive. We were given a patio fireplace and use it frequently in good weather. \

You could cut a metal barrel in half. You already have a terrific grate.

We have a wood burning fireplace as well. All of the pieces are there if we wanted to convert it from wood to gas. Who did you call to have this done? Sorry, I don't have any ideas on the grate.

You might be able to turn the grate on its side and design a boot scraper near the front or back door.

Hang it from your back deck using wrought iron hooks to make wind chimes or a new decorative piece. That is all.

clean it up and use it out side the fire place and put real logs on it. To make it look like your burning real logs in it.
