What can I do with an old fireplace log holder?

We had to replace the log holder in the fireplace because it's getting rather thin. I'd like to do something cute & creative for the yard or garden with it, but I'm drawing a blank. Any crazy ideas?

Sand it, repaint it with black and it is the beginning of a wonderful coffee table. The front could be where the existing posts are, and the back could have a face board with a possible drawer... or a shelf space beneath the top and cross members...Helpful Reply- See 1 previous

The first thing that came to my mind was, get or make a planter to fit and put yellow, orange and flowers in it. Get tall some short and some tall spikey ones to make it look like fire. Make sure to clean the grate and maybe even paint it so it's black again.Helpful Reply -

Clean it. Then drill some holes in your fence and fit it like a pegboard. Use plumbers steel strapping, and some glue, on the backside to keep it from slipping. Hang rakes or lassos or plants on it. .Helpful Reply -

Could you use it in your yard as a place for vines to grow up it and cover it by standing on end? Or as a place to roll bicycle wheels into for parking? I'm kinda drawing a blank right now :)Helpful Reply -
