Sand lightly and then use masking tape to mark off some random or planned shapes and paint with your patio colors. Use some paper designs and mod podge to seal. Possibly do a tile mosaic if it will work with the style of your table. I have also used saved bottle caps and grouted those. You can make a design with the colors or just random.
How about painting gameboards on them, decoupage them with your favorite picture then be sure to seal from weather. Tic Tac Toe for kids would be cute. Do a plastic top coat then they could use different colors of washable markers. The teens and adults might like chess & checkers. Paint in bright colors, then push together for adults to play cards or dominoes.
i thought of one more thing use chalkboard paint for Tic Tax Toe and hangman.
I put Helmsman finish on the top of this tv table and made a turquoise shade for the legs with 3 parts blue and one part green acrylic paint. I want the legs to distress naturally so I didn't seal the acrylic.
