It depends on what they're made of. Sheer cotton is easy to dye. Polyester, not so much. Nylon needs a certain type of dye.
When selecting Rit Dye, they have 2 formulas - the original one is for natural fabrics like cotton, and the new one Dye More is for synthetics. Most sheers nowdays are synthetics.
