What is milk paint?

I keep hearing about milk paint. What is it, what is it best used for? Can it be created at home or purchased?

Milk paint is just what is says...paint made with usually skim milk. There are many recipes on pinterest for milk paint. If you go to pinterest and type in milk paint you will find all types of different ways to make it and places to buy it as well. Personally I would purchase it somewhere as it seems more of a hassle to make rather than buy. It can be used for many things just like any other paint really.
